The Path to Enlightenment is attained through the application of three conscious actions in our lives known as the three keys to Enlightenment. The first of these keys is a trans-formative psychological tool called The Death. This psychological tool can be applied to transform the basic structure of the psyche changing it from being reactionary in nature to being revolutionary, thus enabling the consciousness to use the mind as a tool for a higher level of thinking and comprehension than it would normally produce.
If an individual has a spiritual drive to become enlightened then they have to utilize all three keys to awaken or create the divine aspects of their being which exist on higher dimensions. Without alchemical transformation of the creative sexual energies they can still awaken a large percentage of their consciousness using The Death whilst preserving their creative energies but only if they have built higher bodies practicing Alchemical Sex in a previous lifetime. Technically a person can awaken up to 50% of their consciousness without Alchemical Sex using the other two keys, but only if they have reached mastery in a previous incarnation. Although they incarnate their Master they cannot receive the divine elements of the being such as the inner Cosmic Christ which needs more than 50% consciousness to awaken in an individual. When The Death is combined with Alchemical Sex the two reinforce one another giving the aspirant a great spiritual strength to overcome the subconscious, thus enabling them to experience more of the consciousness not only on the physical plane but also on higher dimensions. If someone performs Alchemical Sex without utilizing The Death enough when confronted inwardly with large ego states in their daily life then the creative energy will be used by the ego to strengthen itself. Alchemical Sex is not the essential tool for complete enlightenment and nor is The Death, instead they are integrally connected in ways that can only be understood once one has gained experience utilizing both. The major difference is that The Death can be performed without Alchemical Sex whereas Alchemical Sex cannot be performed without The Death being a part of the transformation and so Alchemical Sex essentially depends upon The Death.
This psychological tool is referred to as The Death because we are essentially asking that those unwanted psychological elements which make up the ego are destroyed, killed and buried forever. The spiritual part within that has the power to perform this task is the Divine Mother, a spiritual part within that every person possesses. This is a feminine part of our being that performs the duties of destruction, bringing a war to the darkness within the individual and the in the world so that the light of the spirit may shine through enabling a greater potential for love within the individual and therefor in the world.
Method – Dissolving the Ego
In order to train the mind first in applying this trans-formative tool we need to create a personal affirmation to say to ourselves internally each time an unwanted ego state occurs when we are aware and are self observing, catching it before it takes over. When observing an ego state within the mind through undesirable thoughts manifesting, in the emotional areas through negative feelings or unintended excitement in the sexual center, ask the Divine Mother within to destroy this aspect of your subconscious with an inner affirmation or pronouncement such as –
“Divine Mother disintegrate it” or
“Dissolve this please Divine Mother” or
“Die Ego Die!”
It doesn’t really matter what words we choose for this as long as we connect the words with a call to the Divine Mother within and a true willingness to give up the ego state that challenges the peace of the consciousness. The point of this is to help us get into the habit of consciously asking for that help so that we can access those higher intellectual functions of the consciousness that have the ability to understand concepts with complete objectivity. As this is practiced more and more you’ll find it begins to becoming very naturally to you as long as you are doing your best to self observe. Through experience with this technique you will see the power the Divine Mother has to grant instant understanding of what blocks you from inner peace as she literally removes psychological blockages that exist on higher dimensions.
Once you have trained your mind in this practice a good way to gauge your progress with it is to look into your dreams to see any signs that you are successful in overcoming your inner obstacles. There are many esoteric dream symbols that can help to guide you and gauge how you’re generally going in the esoteric war. A couple of symbols related to The Death that are good to look out for as signs of success are –
1. Defecating (Going to the toilet and evacuating ones bowels) – Symbolic of cleaning out the inner crap we have within.
2. Seeing yourself dead – Symbolic of an ego aspect of yourself dying.
3. Cemetery/Graveyard or digging a grave – Symbolic of egos within that have been buried previously at some point. To dig a grave can be symbolic of taking successful steps toward dying to a specific aspect.
The above symbols must always be interpreted in the contexts in which they are presented. For instance, you may find yourself in a Cemetery but it could be related to the possible dangers the egos currently present where you see different sized tombstones with different inscriptions and each represents a specific aspect of your subconscious. You then have to interpret this in its context taking in all the details of the dream, trying to decipher exactly what was definitely real and what was created by the subconscious. how you feel in the dream is always the key to understanding the information presented. Taking the previous example you could be overtaken with deep fear whilst in this cemetery and so it may then be related to ego’s of fear that are buried deep within the subconscious. An extremely important thing to know is that no person can interpret another persons dreams for them. This is an individual work and although it is interesting to discuss dreams with others in an attempt to correlate experiences and gain insight, it is only the dreamer who can know what the dream truly meant. If you make awareness of your dream life a normal part of your everyday living and apply The Death you could find yourself at some point bombarded with dream symbolism and numerology within intensely long dream narratives that can often be quite complex with cryptic symbolism making it difficult to decipher what the dreams meant. This is when keeping a dream journal can help if your the type of person who doesn’t remember your dreams for too long after having them. It can be very satisfying when you’ve had a vivid dream that had that strange inexplicable quality to it but at the time you just couldn’t put your finger on what it was all about, to then find a few months later something occurs in your life that shows that this dream had defined clairvoyant qualities to it. There are many other symbols that relate to The Death which can show us where we are doing well, doing badly or what we need to do in order to progress and overcome our immediate inner obstacles. These symbols can be found in the esoteric works on astral projection by Belsebuub called “When I Go To Sleep” or “A Course in Astral Projection”.
One of the best indications that you are successfully activating your consciousness with The Death is to see yourself applying it in your dreams automatically without being lucid. This is an indication that you have made it a normal part of your way of being during the day and is an extremely positive sign that you are progressing. The best way to know whether your having success with The Death is to wake up in a dream on the night of a day where you felt that you successfully confronted and fought against a very difficult inner state. Being successful in overcoming egos doesn’t necessarily equate to perfect external behavior because each case is judged on its merits and according to the situation. You may feel that you’ve done quite badly when confronted with a difficult inner state as you thought you fed it and allowed it to dominated your consciousness but you may then find yourself becoming lucid or receiving positive dream symbols in the astral plane that same night because your efforts to overcome the inner ego state were solid. The Death is by far the most powerful technique for waking up more and more in the astral plane because by applying it you are removing the elements that keep you locked in your nightly subconscious dream states where even though unusual things are occurring you still fail to realize you are dreaming. Generally, we tend to carry the state of our psyche over to the astral plane and if these states are strong enough they can cloud the subconscious completely to the point where the dreamer is unable to recall anything at all from a nights sleep.
Once the psyche has been trained to continuously return to the state of self observation in awareness and is applying The Death to unwanted inner states they begin to uncover more and more of what is hidden within. According to esoteric doctrines the subconscious exists within 49 levels, with each descending level being denser and more solidified than the layer above it. As we remove more and more ego states we also expose more and more that we were previously unable to see. So as we go on we confront darker and darker parts within, much of which can be quite surprising to a person who is not innately given to self analysis and personal insight. An interesting experience regarding the nature of the subconscious psyche was retold by a walker of the path. When he astral projected one night, he found himself in conversation with a master and asked him “How many egos are there?”. The master said nothing to begin with and held up his hand with a fistful of sand in it. He then released the sand from his palm and replied “As many grains of sand you can hold within the palm of your hand”. In my view, this teaching was symbolic more so than literal as the master was communicating the fact that the subconscious is made up of an almost countless number of tiny ego states and to think of the egos in terms of a finite number does not equate to an understanding of the true nature of the subconscious – that it is made up of ego states that can be divided into smaller and smaller aspects into infinity.
In the beginning of applying The Death it may feel a little confusing and unnatural as the mind can have a tendency to begin to dominate by analyzing whether or not something within is in fact an ego or not. This can then easily lead to a superficial intellectual application of The Death where the practitioner easily forgets that the practice is meant to be driven by the will but enacted through the intellect and is not a practice of self judgment. This also tends to have the affect where an individual may begin to confuse their personality for ego which is a very spiritually dangerous direction to take as within things can become very confused where someone thinks they are acting through the consciousness but in fact they are pushing it away, not allowing it to be expressed through the personality out of a fear of allowing the ego to act through the personality. For this reason I recommend that any individual beginning to practice this key apply it to large ego manifestations until they feel they are ready to begin applying it more consistently. If you are grounded in self awareness and have trained the intellect in using this key then the application should be somewhat automated where you do not question whether something is ego or not. If for instance something comes up and you question it, then forget about applying The Death and bring yourself straight back to the awareness. It is important not to get too drawn into self observation also, as too much of a focus upon this key can lead to an imbalance between our internal and external awareness and you can become to focused on what is occurring inside that needs to die that you forget about grounding yourself in the five external senses.
To get into a flow with the practice you should approach it in this manner:
1. Become aware of your external world through the five sense but don’t it analyze with the mind.
2. Observe what takes you away from the external world, whether it be emotion or thought.
3. Apply The Death to those states that are stubborn and continue to stop you from being aware and acting through the intelligence of the consciousness.
The Divine Feminine
There are many different aspects to the being that are represented as different Gods in various mythologies. These different parts are often depicted as either male or female and sometimes as partly animal. This is a way of communicating the significations, powers or roles that these parts of the being play in the esoteric journey of the spiritual seeker. They can also be representations of spiritual beings that play a role in the events and occurrences in the life of the spiritual seeker so they often can have multiple symbolic meanings attached to them, such is the nature of esoteric symbolism. The Divine Mother is a feminine aspect of the being who possesses a destructive power to annihilate the base animal drives within each of us that keep our consciousness trapped in the subconscious. Feminine energy is often thought of as being passive, gentle and nurturing and the mother figure is related to birth as opposed to death but this is only one aspect of the Divine Feminine or Devi. Another aspect to the Divine Feminine is the destructive, powerful and radical powers of transformation that the Divine Mother within possesses.
This aspect has been represented by many different Godess figures and the Hindu Goddess Kali is a direct representation of this empowering force known as Shakti. Shakti is associated with the powers of the Kundalini serpent and the sexual fire which can be raised using this cosmic energy through the practice of Sexual Alchemy or White Tantra. The cosmic energy is present in human beings in the form of sexual energy as it is through the union of the duality between male and female that creation is possible and so this applies not only physically but also metaphysically. When the Divine Mother is called upon in Sexual Alchemy to help the seeker raise the kundalini her powers of creation are utlised but her destructive power to destroy the ego can also be applied in Sexual Alchemy to those elements that are too deeply ingrained in the individual to be removed fully using The Death. Here we see the dual powers of the Divine Mother of destruction and creation, birth and death. Another Hindu Goddess that represents aspects of the role the Divine Mother plays in the spiritual work is Mahakali. She is the Goddess of time of death and is considered to be the feminine partner yo the god Shive, the god of consciousness who is a representation of the Divine Father, another higher part of our inner being. Mahakali, in comparison to Kali represents the more destructive side of the Divine Mother often depicted bransishing weapons such as a sword and a trident while holding a severed head with a bwol catching the blood dripping from the severed head. This is symbolic of the mystical decapitation of the internal ego by the Divine Mother. She often has a garland of severed demons heads representing the egos or inner demons she has killed. We all posses this power within so it’s up to each of us to access it consciously.
