The intensity of then sun had grown ever more relevant for the everyday man in the year 2025. The hopes of many had been dashed by the dry warm winter that had passed. The soils were left dry and stolid, almost visible to the farmers eyes was the dying nature of a once fertile land. But never the less they did what they knew they mist do. work harder and pray longer to bring a harvest the coming year that considering the present circumstances could be said to be a miracle. Prayers were said consistently for the sky to break and the water to flow from the cloud but barely a drop had come since the winter Solstice passed and as the sun began to linger longer in the sky, day on day out the fears of many had been realised. . This years sowing would be one of the most testing for the emotions of those growing there future daily bread. John looked upon his field with great concern. They garden was blooming with colorful flowers. blooming bulbs of iris and daffodil, purple and yellow, the first signs of springs approach were forcing their way through the dirt, despite the thirsty bulbs underground they still managed preserve enough moisture through the dry wonder to fulfill their duty in nature – signaling like a flag a new beginning and a new hope. As the world continued to turn through its seasonal cycles man and his society to began to turn with it. Not out of choice but out f necessity. The materialistic culture that dominated the past centuries had finally begun to show massive cracks in its structure ad no more could the levy of culture be held up or concealed to the everyday mans eye. John, had inherited his lot from his father, who as a young man had decided after growing up in the big city to rake his inheritance and purchase a small plot of land in the rolling hills of the countryside where e and his newlywed wife would retreat to live a self sustaining lifestyle, void of all the delusion and chaos of modern material life. His parents experienced mix success with year after year of successful harvest which always guaranteed a celebratory feast at the beginning of harvest season. As the family after the great plague of 2016 swept through the developing countries delves rating populations and resulting in crashing of the conventional economic structures. Growing up on a farm John always resented his parents wish for him to stay – he yearned for more, e wanted to see the world and experience all of the delightful offerings that culture had to give him. For if everyone else could have them, why then could he not, just because he was a country boy?? So on his 21st birthday in the year 2010 John left the comfort and protection his mother and father offered to him till they met their final days here on earth. They promised that if he was to stay he would always have sufficient sustenance, warmth, love and protection from a family that loved him dearly. His parents had raised John to understand the perils of the world and to know what is right and wrong. They taught him the ways of knowledge, wisdom and the creative nature of all that exists, hence John grew to be a kind, intelligent individual, but all through his life he wanted tot know more. No matter how much he had learnt about the perils of modern life, or the Fallacies of the materialistic city settlements his wary yearned to experience it for himself. It was an intuitive knowledge of needing to experience in order to learn that he held strong to all his life. This knowledge was born within him, hidden, silent but ever steering him toward a life of discovery. So he left home, farewells his parents and promised to return soon with the fruits of his adventures to give to his parents.
